Social worker from the University of Chile, with vast experience in Human Rights and Childhood. She has a long history in this matter, with various publications, as well as professional development in public policies for children and adolescents. In 1990 she founded Corporación Opción, of which she was executive director until January 15, 2018, when she assumed the Institute’s direction.
She has worked to promote and protect the Rights of Boys, Girls, and Adolescents, both nationally and internationally. She has been the coordinator for South America of the Global March against Child Labor and has conducted various research on the Convention on the Rights of the Child and its application in the goverment.
She became a Counselor of the National Institute of Human Rights by appointment of civil society organizations from 2013 to 2019, being elected for a new period between July 2, 2019, and July 2, 2025.
