He is a lawyer with a degree in Legal and Social Sciences from the University of Chile. He holds a Master’s degree in Political Science from the Pontifical Catholic University. He was a Deputy of the Republic representing District 50 (Temuco and Padre Las Casas) between 2002 and 2012. He currently works as a university professor.
Eduardo Saffirio is a Counselor of the Institute from July 4, 2016 to July 4, 2022, appointed by the Chamber of Deputies.
