Leonel Lienlaf Lienlaf

Mapuche writer from the Alepue community of the Valdivia Province in the Los Ríos Region. He has specialized in defending the right to live in a pollution-free environment, specifically the native forest, promoting its restoration as a fundamental part of understanding and relating to the territory.

As a writer, he has participated in poetry festivals and anthologies in America and Europe.

He has edited the publications “The bird of my heart has awakened” (1989); “Song and Mapuche Poetry” (1997) “; “Mapuche voices” (2001); “Dreamed Words” (2003) “; “Ko Gen” (2014); “Epu zuam” (2016); and “The light falls vertically” (2018).
